Street/people photography has always been my first love. What better place to requite that love than New York City? Over countless excursions, I have attempted to build a portfolio that captures life in the city in an entertaining and individualistic way. I often process my images to give them the appearance of illustrations or paintings. To me, the effect brings to “life” facial expressions and details which might be understated in the original photograph. The effect heightens both the drama and comedy of the everyday.  The goal is to combine the texture and intentionality of a painting with the spontaneity and moment of a photograph. I want to invite the viewer to experience the familiar through a different lens and take a second look at what we have in common.
